Kindra's coming home soon and the boys have headed for Texas

Kyle and Tyler headed out for Texas this evening with 4 others from Antioch Community Church. They will drive all night and attend a worship conference in Waco Texas this weekend. Please keep them in prayer as they travel and for the impact this will have on these six lives.

Rheggie Carranza has moved in with us! Rheggie is 22 and on his way to Biola University in California. Right now he is attending College of DuPage so he needed a place for one sememster. He is a great help to us all, a man after God's own heart, and a friend to our whole family. He also attends the Antioch Church.

Kindra is still in New Orleans. Her mission began June 23. I will be flying down on Monday night, Aug. 6 and we will drive back together after spending her last day in New Orleans on Tuesday. (at least her last day in 2007, she is talking about next summer already).

The city has been telling BBC they will be shutting off power if things are not up to code standards. Today they had a power failure. Kindra was sure that the power was gone, but it came back on shortly. They have started a plan to get things up to code. She said the humidity was nearly 70%!

Yesterday, Kindra was in charge of cooking for the kids. It is hot in the kitchen and no ventalation or AC. Something caught her eye as she was cooking and she realized it was a "big mouse". Someone heard her 'reaction' (screaming) and came in and stepped on the mouse for her. What an adventure this has been.

She sent some new pictures. Take a look and please continue to pray. As much as she is ready to come home and start thinking about college again, this just may be hard for her to leave the investment she has made this summer. Pray for safe travels as we return.
